Adult Formation

Adult Faith Formation

Faith development is an ongoing journey at Saint Joseph Parish that should not end upon the reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation. Throughout the year we offer a variety of opportunities for Catholic adults to deepen their understanding of the Catholic Church; our history, our customs and rituals, and our understanding of Sacred Scripture. We often schedule speakers to help learn new ways to live out faith in the secular world. Topics range from good stewardship of earth’s resources to financial planning.

RCIA meetings are held on Wednesdays from 7-9pm and Sundays at 11:15am in the multi-purpose room. EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO DROP IN. Remember! Just because a person goes to RCIA, it doesn’t mean that he or she is going through the public rites of passage at Mass; those moments are only for non-Catholics who have decided to enter the Church. RCIA is open to everyone who wants a deeper understanding of the Catholic Church, even people who are not yet ready to enter the Church and people who already are members. So spread the word!

If you want to sign-up, let Brian Roberts know at 248-446-8700 x113 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

"The Great Adventure Bible Study"  is an Adult Basic Bible Study designed to develop a very informed understanding of the

history of salvation offered by God  using the Bible and the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Thirteen  chapters of the Bible

most explemplary of how God has interacted with mankind to offer salvation will be read and studied and supplemented by the

Catechism to see how that is reflected in our Catholic faith today. The group will be assigned reading in the Bible and the

Catechism with questions to answer. They will come back together to discuss the questions and then see a DVD presented by

Jeff Cavins that presents a summary of the readings. The fee for participation is $50.00 and includes the materials needed.

You will need your own Catechism and Bible. Call Cathey Borsh if you are interested for dates and times. Whenever we have

7-10 people interested in doing the study , that group starts. Right now we have 4 groups going .
