Prayer and Worship Groups

Eucharistic Adoration

St. Joseph Church offers Eucharistic Adoration twenty four hours a day seven days a

week in our chapel.  We also have a committee that sponsors Eucharistic Holy Hours

for the Feast of All Saints  and other occasions throughout the year.

Charismatic Prayer Group

“There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service

but the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces

all of them in everyone. To each individual the manifestation of the

Spirit is given for some benefit.” (NAB 1Corinthians 12:4-7)

The Lord’s Remnant is a charismatic prayer group at St. Joseph.

We meet monthly in the chapel . The group gathers to pray for the power of the Holy Spirit

to enter their lives and the lives of others for healing and strength.

We also pray for and with charisms, or spiritual gifts, mentioned

by St. Paul in the above scriptural passage, in order to do the will of God.

Twice a year, in the seasons of Advent and Lent,

we host a special retreat to lead us in preparing for the season in prayer,

 song, scripture, teaching and reflection.

All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

BIBLE STUDY- THE GREAT ADVENTURE

The Evangelization Committee is going to begin an excellent , more comprehensive, updated, bible study program in January. Jeff Cavins developed The Great Adventure when he realized that most people, despite their strong faith, did not grasp the big picture of the Bible. Though they knew selected stories, they were not able to connect them into a full narrative. His answer was to identify the books of the Bible that tell the story from beginning to end. By reading just these 14 narrative books, a chronological story emerges. The Great Adventure Scripture Study Program will begin with a whole year of meeting every other week to go through the entire Timeline of the Bible. Dates and times will be determined by those who register. There will be a fee of 50.00 for the year that will cover excellent materials for you to keep from the publisher. Check it out online at http/biblestudyforcatholics.com or Google The Great Adventure. Click here to download registration form
